**About the Role**:
Our client is a government agency seeking a Lead Data Analyst (EL1) to lead data collation and analysis within their Economics and Pricing Branch..

The position will provide the leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for team members.

**Responsibilities may include but are not limited to**:

- Providing oversight and management of regular reporting, data analysis and data management.
- Support development and maintenance of economic and pricing performance dashboards.
- Designing statistical and mathematical models required for product pricing.
- Lead the market analysis of provider activities and trendlines.
- Planning and leading ad hoc and other report production requests.
- Effectively communicating (verbally and in writing) and presenting the outcomes of work undertaken, tailored to context.
- Working across teams to build strong relationships within the ADA and other stakeholders within the NDIS.
- Participating in data forums and supporting ongoing data transformation process (3P/PACE).

**Skills required**:

- Two years’ experience with coaching and mentoring others.
- Have demonstrated ability in tools such as excel/VBA and R or other programming language such as Python.
- Proficiency in SAS and SQL.
- Proven experience with clean / transform / summarise large data sets.
- High level of skill working both autonomously and collaboratively in a team.
- High level of verbal, written and interpersonal communication and relationship management skills including negotiating outcomes, networking with and influencing internal and external stakeholders

**Desirable criteria**
- Experience with Dashboards development
- Previous experience/exposure with data transformation projects
- Previous experience/exposure building statistical or machine learning models related to pricing.

**Eligibility**:
This role is open to Australian citizens due to government security requirements.

**Work Arrangements**:

- This role may be based in Canberra, Sydney, or Melbourne.
- Hybrid - 3 days on site / 2 days flexible remote working.
