Full-time Cafe Supervisor

This exciting role would suit an experienced Front of House/Barista all rounder who is looking to take that next step Black Star Pastry is on the lookout for a people focused Cafe Supervisor to support our Moore Park Cafe Manager.

You will be coached and mentored to assisting the Store Manager lead the team and manage all areas of the store, including overseeing employee performance and the customer experience.

**Remuneration**
- $62,150 + Superannuation ($31.45 p/h) - increasing to $65,000 in October
- Transport allowance of $20.00 per week

**Roster**
- Shifts are 7:30am-4:30pm
- We operate 7 days a week

**About You**
- 2-3 years’ leadership experience in hospitality (preferably Cafe environment)
- A talent for mentoring others - you love to lead by example
- Passionate about the customer experience and product quality
- Ability to connect with customers and provide an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced environment
- Great problem solving skills
- Motivated and positive team player
- Strong communication skills
- Authentic and down to earth with a genuine love of people
- Love of cake a bonus

**Main Responsibilities**
- Provide ‘hands on’ leadership within the store, overseeing all direct employees ensuring that they are trained in all store processes, standards and expectations.
- Communicate position expectations and monitor employee performance including coaching, counselling and disciplining employees in partnership with HR.
- Ensure adherence to systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Complete weekly rosters in a fair and consistent manner and within budget requirements.
- Maintain workplace cleanliness and WHS standards, establishing systems to ensure levels are consistent and acceptable, communicating clear expectations to the team.
- Ensuring quality of service by maintaining consistent standards, analysing and resolving quality and customer service problems, identifying trends and recommending system improvements.
- Participate in leadership meetings and workshops.
