About the role
The Technical Officer, Information Technology Services, provides experienced technical support and timely problem resolution to maintain local information systems, hardware and infrastructure.
**Key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Assist in the installation, maintenance and support of non-enterprise hardware, software, and computer systems either in a standalone or networked environment.
- Provide technical support either by trouble-shooting non-enterprise hardware, digital hospital devices, software, telecommunications, and other media problems or by offering advice and education to clients on how to use local equipment and systems operating within West Moreton Health. Highlight potential problem areas and assist the Information Technology Services team to maintain a high standard of service and reputation.
- Contribute to the development of hardware, software, telecommunications and operational standards, policies, procedures and work instructions and assist with their implementation.

About you
- Technical knowledge, skill and ability in providing local Information & Communication Technology (ICT) support to digital hospital devices, desktop technologies and system administration.
- Customer Focus - Remains accessible to customers and uses strong communication skills to understand customers' needs and deliver an organised service that meets their expectations.
- Good analytical skills, strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to achieve outcomes for local ICT with an awareness of Queensland Health and West Moreton Health's strategic direction.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
