**Purpose**
The primary focus is to plan, develop, monitor and improve the delivery of preventative maintenance programs to
improve asset performance. Deliverables are driven by both customer driven targets (PR) and Essential Services
Commission (ESC) KPIs.
**Key Duties/Responsibilities**
- Manage deliverables in consultation with the Networks Asset Operations Team and ensuring timely
communications throughout project delivery.
- Arrange remedial works, internally or via contractors, including raising work orders and purchase orders.
- Collaborate with the Networks Asset Operations Team in the planning and execution of deliverables
around Preventative Maintenance activities.
- Oversee the in-field activities for preventative maintenance including safety of workers and members of
the public, ensuring team has the proper skills and licenses to do the work.
- Assist Civil Maintenance Delivery Team Leaders to facilitate planned works with their respective teams.
- Manage ‘Notice of Repair’ documents regarding customer defects on internal fittings.
- Provide technical advice and support to Civil Maintenance Delivery Team and stakeholders in relation to
Melbourne Retail Water Agencies (MRWA) standards.
- Provide after hour supervision of works where applicable in conjunction with relevant stakeholders.
- Undertake timely field surveillance and auditing of planned works to ascertain level of compliance to
standards.
- Ensure accurate assets data is collected and effectively updated in CHW’s GIS and asset management
systems to enable monitoring, tracking and reporting. This includes accurately updating work order
information in the field, directly after work activity has been completed.
- Support the development and implementation of a process to capture potential capital expenditure as a
result of operational activities, this in conjunction with Civil Maintenance Team Leaders and Works
Administrator.
- Monitor, manage and support the achievement of ESC Key Performance Indicators during planned
works.
- Ensure regulatory requirements are adhered to including those in relation to safety, water quality and
environmental.
- Ensure a positive customer experience for internal and external customers through proactive
communication and engagement.
- Available to participate in an after-hours maintenance roster.
- Undertake other duties as directed, commensurate with the current level of skills and the
classification.
**. Authority and Accountability**
- Responsible for the efficient and effective performance of all duties and key responsibility areas within
the role.
- Accountable for accurate and timely maintenance of databases relevant to the position as well as
compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, codes and other business instruments.
- Constructively contribute to creating and maintaining CHW’s desired culture by demonstrating CHW’s
values and behaviors, and being mindful and respectful.
