About the role

This exciting, fixed term part time role will suit an early career specialist who is looking to work in a fantastic team, contributing transfusion medicine advice to internal and external stakeholders and assisting with pathology oversight.

If you are looking to further your knowledge in transfusion and laboratory practice, develop a deeper understanding of Lifeblood and its role in the Australian and international blood supply chain this is the job for you. With the knowledge and skills, you build at Lifeblood you will be equipped to deliver even better outcomes in other clinical and laboratory settings.

Please note after a period of orientation and training you will contribute to the afterhours on call roster.

Sound interesting? Here’s what we’re looking for;
A Medical Degree, with current Medical Board of Australia registration

Fellowship with the RCPA or equivalent

Demonstrated contemporary early career experience in the practice of haematology, blood banking, transfusion medicine or related relevant field.

Have a collaborative team approach, working with colleagues and cross functional teams.

Utilise initiative with demonstrated problem solving skills, while knowing when to seek guidance and direction from others and your manager.

Be a great communicator and deliver excellent customer service.
