**Position overview**:
ANU has an international reputation for research and education relevant to the health and well-being of the population of Australia, as well as that of the developing world. This is achieved through discovery research, applied research in health service settings, research-led teaching in health and medical sciences, and the translation of research findings into practice and policy. The ANU College of Health and Medicine comprises the Research School of Psychology, the ANU Medical School, the John Curtin School of Medical Research and the Research School of Population Health. These schools work together to deliver world-class research and education across the spectrum of medicine and health-related fields, working in partnership with the health sector at local, national and international levels.
The Australian Phenomics Facility (APF), within the John Curtin School of Medical Research, supports biomedical research activities by providing laboratory animal services and is a key partner of the Australian Government NCRIS funded Phenomics Australia (PA), a national system of research facilities and expertise, delivering infrastructure enabling biomedical discovery and translation. The Phenogenomic Targeting Facility (PTF), under the leadership of the Phenogenomic Service Manager, which will support the Phenomics Translation Initiative (PTI) and Phenomics Australia (PA) by offering their reproductive technology, gene editing and model banking capabilities as an integrated service.
The ART Coordinator will work under the direction and supervision of the Phenogenomic Service Manager. Together with other technical officers and animal care support staff the ART Coordinator will ensure efficient delivery of phenogenomics services (gene-editing, reproductive technologies and mouse model banking). The ART Coordinator will assist the Phenogenomics Service Manager and technical officers implementing best practice processes and quality standards and will coordinate the optimal use of animal resources. This role will also liaise with animal care staff of the APF and APF Section Coordinators and BRF Genotyping.
