**Your Impact**
An exciting opportunity has come available for an Environment Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join our Laverton facility. In this role you will be responsible to continually improve environment, health, safety, claims and injury management performance in a sustainable manner by ensuring the development, implementation, and maintenance of key EHS and injury management and return to work processes aligned to organisation requirement and legislative obligations.
**Key responsibilities**
- Lead, development, and implement local EHS procedures and requirements.
- Drive EHS incident and risk management processes through coaching and support to ensure timely reporting, recording, investigation, closing of corrective actions and sharing of learnings within business.
- Implement and monitor the behavioural based safety program.
- Advise on and recommend methods of meeting compliance requirements.
- In consultation with business managers, drive the injury management agenda to support the achievement of key performance measure.
- Identify issues that are barriers to a safe return to work and arrange risk assessments.
- Works with internal & external resources to ensure EHS compliance and systems training, and induction requirements are met, including maintenance of training records and licenses.
**About You**
- Experience in a EHS role within a manufacturing environment and demonstrated performance improvement in OHS / Environment in an industrial environment.
- An understanding of business, issues and restraints faced by line managers in implementing EHS processes and programs.
- Experience in relationship management of both internal clients and external stakeholders.
- Prior experience in participating in third party audits and corrective action planning.
- Detailed knowledge of EHS legislation and industry standards (AS4801and/or ISO14001)
