Wintringham is a specialised non-religious not-for-profit welfare organisation. We are committed to providing older people who are at risk or have experienced homelessness with a range of high-quality housing and services. We employ more than 1,000 staff across Victoria and Tasmania.

Our Head Office provides the strategic direction and support services for Wintringham residential, housing and community care services.

**Your new role**

Wintringham is seeking an experienced professional to join our Quality and Innovation Team as a Head of Practice - Social Support. This exciting new role will build the capability, skill and capacity of staff delivering Housing and Homelessness Support (HHS) services, Home Care Package Case Management, NDIS Support Coordination, Social Support Case Management and Social and Emotional Support services. This will be achieved through involvement in practice, professional development, consultation, case reviews and the provision of specialist advice and input to practitioners, managers, policy developers and other stakeholders (both government and non-government).

**Your duties and responsibilities will include the below**:

- Refinement of case management practice frameworks that align with the principles and values of the organisation and are consistent across programs supporting transition across the continuum.
- Develop and lead implementation of supervision frameworks for staff who deliver case management, social and emotional supports.
- Develop and implement group based reflective practice approaches to supervision where required.
- Promote and facilitate opportunities for sharing of information and cross program/organisational collaboration through Communities of Practice.
- Coordinate case conference and identify themes for policy development and/or professional development.
- Lead a strong practice culture that links client service practice with Wintringham frameworks and training within a continuous quality improvement framework.
- Collaborate with the quality team and Clinical Services Manager to investigate critical incidents and implement systemic preventative measures where required.
- Promote professional development and continuous learning among service delivery teams with a focus on trauma informed practice.
- Promote Mental Health First Aid training across Wintringham.
- Work collaboratively with the People and Culture Workforce Development team to develop and facilitate high-quality training packages for Client Services Staff.
- Establish relationships with universities and develop structures to support Wintringham staff to provide student placements across a range of social support disciplines.
- Provision of training for relevant coordinators and managers in the support and supervision of their direct reports
- Tertiary qualification in a related field or discipline such as social work, psychology, counselling.
- Preferred Master’s degree in research/relevant practice area.
- Eligible for full registration or membership with AHPRA, AASW or PACFA.
- Extensive psychosocial case work and demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed settings, supporting vulnerable populations.
- Demonstrated experience in the establishment and management of models for high quality client service.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to build relationships of trust with stakeholders.
- A commitment to social justice
- An understanding of the contemporary issues affecting the not-for-profit sector, particularly with regard to homelessness, housing and aged care services
