**How you’ll make a difference**

As a senior leader within the Project Delivery & Operations business unit, the Head of Project Management Practices is responsible for establishing and leading a center of excellence that will build organisational capability in project management, business analysis and change management practice to improve the success of our portfolio wide delivery as well as improve the return on our project benefits realisation.

The Head of Project Management Practices leads a team of Business Analysts whilst working alongside Project Managers, Product, Finance and Technology Leads to successfully deliver a range of product, technology and business-related projects.

Working cross-functionally this role will play a critical role in uniting teams with a clear vision of what a successful project looks like and the substantial benefits that will follow with everyone working together as a cohesive team in a consistent way to uplift our effectiveness as an organisation for both our people and our clients.

**The value-add things you’ll be doing**
- Uplift organisation-wide understanding and capability of business analysis and project management practices to realise greater benefits aligned to the business strategy.
- Establish appropriate frameworks and standards that are fit for purpose and are sufficiently responsive to support successful portfolio-wide delivery and organisational effectiveness of resources and investments utilising both traditional and iterative delivery methodologies.
- Maintain a strong focus on benefit tracking, risk and issue management, change control and dependency management to embed rigor, consistency, and confidence in delivery.
- Monitor compliance to our agreed standards via a robust reporting and review framework that monitors and evaluates projects against agreed key performance indicators providing transparency to key stakeholder groups.
- Work closely with project sponsors, steering group members, project managers, product managers, finance, technology leads and other key personnel to build a common understanding and expectation of project management and business analysis methodologies, activities and requirements, including clarity around roles and responsibilities required to embed a strong delivery culture, manage expectations and prioritise competing business needs.
- Lead the project review process to capture key learnings that can enhance ways of working, frameworks, standards to support future delivery success and improve organisational agility.
- Provide strong leadership, vision, motivation, removing roadblocks, coaching and inspiring teams to do their best work, encouraging ongoing professional development and ensure staff have the knowledge and skills to achieve their work objectives in alignment with organisational expectations.
- Work effectively across the organisation fostering an enterprise mindset with peers to encourage high performance, collaboration, agility and accountability in the delivery of outcomes aligned with the project deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to all internal and external relevant policies and procedures, legislation and regulation, building a strong risk culture within the team.

**Qualifications**:
**The experience and qualifications you’ll need to be successful**
- Undergraduate and/or postgraduate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
- Experience with program, project, agile and other implementation ideas, working in a fast paced, dynamic business environment
- Proven track record in successfully developing and implementing PM, BA and change methodologies/frameworks
- Experience leading successful delivery of complex, integrated change initiatives and projects
- Demonstrated ability to build strong networks and influence across teams and with stakeholders
- Proven track record of outstanding performance in a previous complex enterprise
- Senior Executive experience and demonstrated success as an enterprise leader
