**The Role**
As part of the Australian Naval Classification Authority (ANCA) team, the Competent Organisation and Delegation Manager will support the development and management of Competent Organisations and the framework they will operate within. Competent Organisations are an integral part of the Australian Naval Classification (ANC) Framework as they provide permissible evidence and compliance findings in support of Naval Classification.

You will be responsible for engaging and communication with key stakeholders, respond and provide advice on issues in relation to Competent Organisations to achieve outcomes for ANCA and Defence, support development of processes and procedures for the Competent Organisation Framework. You will be accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve management of the Competent Organisation Framework, which includes auditing of those organisations.

Your role includes:

- Providing advice and recommendations on the development of established engineering principles, techniques, methods and regulations.
- Building and sustaining positive relationships with key stakeholders and team members, actively participate in team work and motivate and mentor developing engineers.
- Being able to tailor communication style and language to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability.
