**The Role**
The APS 6 Quality Assurance Officer will work within the Program Management Office (PMO) in the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide Implementation Taskforce (the Taskforce). In this role, you will provide a range of quality assurance activities aimed at providing confidence to stakeholders that the RCDVS Implementation Program (the Program) is operating effectively in accordance with best practice and delivers products and/or services, which meet specified quality standards and requirements. You will provide guidance and management of quality assurance processes and business planning to stakeholders to support delivery of reform initiatives.

You will be responsible for:

- Reviewing the Quality Assurance Plan on a regular basis to ensure that any emerging quality assurance activities are captured in the document;
- Preparing Governance Health Checks to ensure that governance arrangements supporting the Program are aligned with best practice, enabling successful program delivery;
- Conducting Benefits Reviews and Benefits Reporting to assess the impact and effectiveness of reform implemented against the Program’s strategic objectives;
- Monitoring and evaluating benefits realisation against success criteria, providing regular reports and insights to stakeholders, including the Senior Executive and Program Board;
- Using data analytics and visualisation tools to analyse benefits data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations;
- Supporting internal/external auditors by facilitating access to information sought to assess program performance; and
- Collaborating with business areas and projects to ensure they meet Quality Assurance standards as set out by the Program.

**About our Team**
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment supporting the RCDVS Implementation Taskforce, which has been established to lead Defence’s response to the Royal Commission’s Final Report submitted in September 2024. The Taskforce is responsible for providing governance, oversight and support for the implementation of Government agreed recommendations.

The Quality Assurance Team is responsible for developing and implementing the Quality Assurance Framework and manages benefits realisation as well as business continuity to ensure the Taskforce remains fit for purpose. The position advertised will be in the PMO and will support the implementation of the recommendations and the Program via quality assurance activities.
