**The Role**

Join us as a Logistics Performance and Improvement Specialist, where you’ll play a critical role in identifying opportunities to enhance Defence’s logistics operations and implementing innovative solutions.

As a Logistics Performance and Improvement Specialist, you will work within the Directorate of Logistics Performance and Improvement (DLPI) to design process improvements, and provide detailed logistics compliance, technical, and professional advice in relation to achieving the logistics assurance objectives.

Under the guidance of the Deputy Director Logistics Performance and Improvement, a key part of your remit will be to lead logistics improvement activities or projects, and provide informed guidance and advice to external stakeholders.

**About our Team**
The Directorate of Logistics Performance and Improvement (DLPI) is a dynamic team that is involved in a wide range of Logistics improvements and business intelligence initiatives across Defence. The Directorate provides the Executive Director Logistics Assurance (EDLA) and Commander Joint Logistics (CJLOG) with the capability to lead reform by identifying and implementing logistics improvement activities across JLC and the wider Defence Logistics Network.

Much of the Directorates work to date has involved the identification of strategies to remediate existing logistic concerns identified by the Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) and the Defence Integrity Division. The Directorate is now actively involved in business intelligence and analytics initiatives in the Joint Logistics Units and wider Defence, including volumetrics and supporting the preparation and implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

You will have excellent interpersonal skills to earn the trust of a range of stakeholders by demonstrating your knowledge and expertise relating to Defence Logistics, supply chain management, and adherence to legislation, policy and procedures.

You will have a deep understanding of logistics operations and show innovation and commitment to driving continuous improvement. You will have the skills to build team capacity through coaching and feedback, and the ability to review and develop the quality of work undertaken by others within the Branch.
