Services we provide include: Supported Independent Living (SIL) and SIL Accommodation, Short-Term Accommodation (STA), Community Access, and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA).

**About the Role**

As the **2IC to Operations Manager**, you will be in a key role in which excellent communications skills, high energy and strong leadership experience is required.

**Responsibilities**

Staff Management
- Recruitment and Onboarding
- Roster Management (where needed)
- Facilitate Team Meetings
- Facilitate Disciplinary Meetings
- Staff Mentoring and Support
- Facilitate Staff Supervision and Support Meetings

Client Intake
- Initial Contact
- Planning
- Risk Assessments

Other Management Duties
- Attend Management Meetings
- Attend Client Care Team Meetings (CTM)
- Internal Auditing
- External Stakeholder Liaison
- External Networking
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and systems
- Other ADHOC duties/projects assigned by the Operations Manager

**Mandatory Requirements**
- Tertiary qualification in disability or a related field, or a minimum of Certificate IV in Disability with substantial experience in the field
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current CPR Certificate (annual)
- National Police Children Check (less than 6 months old)
- Current Working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
- Current Australian Driver’s License and own vehicle

**Preferred/Highly Regarded**
- Industry and/or personal experience will be highly regarded
- Knowledge of the NDIS Operational Guidelines
- Knowledge of the NDIS Act 2013, Disability Act 2006 and other relevant legislation
- Knowledge of case management practices and principles
- Demonstrated experience managing and motivating a team
- Experience dealing with challenging behaviours and the ability to mentor staff in this area
- An understanding of the policies and procedures required to deliver effective services to clients
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Competence in the use of computer programs
- Proven ability to think innovatively, affect change, and shape positive workplace culture
