Our client is a leader in product distribution within a key sector in the Australian economy. Privately owned, they have an exceptional corporate culture that has built a highly engaged team who all share in the commercial success of the business.

We are looking for an experienced commercial analyst, to play a

pivotal part in all aspects of commercial strategy through acquisition analysis, management reporting, financial systems maintenance, and financial modeling as well as helping to shape the future vision of the commercial finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the development and ongoing maintenance of the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Perform fact-based, data-driven analysis and modeling on large data sets to identify actionable insights and drive business performance via Management, Board and Ad Hoc reporting and analysis.
- Assist with acquisition due diligence and integration.
- Perform strategic analysis and prepare financial models to support strategic planning activities and post-implementation review.
- Model and analyse new investment opportunities.
- Assist in the maintenance of data accuracy within the management reporting systems.
- Identify best practices, process automation and continuous improvement to drive efficiency.

Preferred experience:

- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field
- CA / CPA qualified (preferred)
- Experience in a commercial analysis/management reporting / FP&A role.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced Excel skills with demonstrable financial modeling experience
- Intermediate coding experience (SQL or Python) - preferred but not essential.
