Our client is a popular dairy dessert manufacturer that distributes its products to various restaurants and supermarkets throughout Australia and New Zealand.

We are currently seeking a Team Leader who will primarily oversee the packing room operations. However, you will also receive training in both high-care production and medium-care packing areas.

To be considered for this role, you should have prior experience working in a food manufacturing facility and possess a strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Lean Manufacturing principles. Experience in a high-care facility, particularly in dairy or meat production, would be advantageous.

If selected, your main responsibility will be to ensure the smooth, efficient, and safe functioning of the production and packing areas, alongside another Team Leader and the Production Supervisor.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Provide operational training to the production and packing teams.

2. Assess the competency of your team members across all functional areas.

3. Initiate, develop, and manage Lean Manufacturing projects.

4. Ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork.

5. Enforce strict adherence to our client's Food Safety and Quality Program (FSQP) and GMPs.

6. Manage staff rosters effectively.

**Additionally, you will be expected to**:
1. Attend the Daily Production Meeting and provide a summary of your team's performance.

2. Immediately report any machine breakdowns to the appropriate Manager.

3. Report any non-conforming events, near-misses, or other incidents.

4. Prioritize the safety of your team members.

5. Foster an inclusive and supportive work environment.

6. Provide feedback to the Production Supervisor and/or Production Manager at the end of each shift.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Casual, Temp to perm

**Salary**: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
