Production/packing Assistant

We are seeking a new team member to join our clients production team in a dynamic role that includes working in our clients high-care production area and on there packing line. In this role, you will be a valued member of our clients production team, playing a key role in ensuring production targets are met in a timely fashion while observing the highest standards of safety and quality. You must be reliable, punctual, and able to perform physical tasks that are often repetitive.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Work on the production line with consistent speed and accuracy
- Mix, blend and batch ingredients
- Operate filling and packing equipment
- Assist in ensuring that production requirements and standards are met
- Make every effort to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising quality
- Operate machinery correctly and maintain it with care as per documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Report all machinery and equipment issues to TL or PIL
- Work cooperatively with your team to meet targets and goals
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Observe all OH&S guidelines and report any safety concerns to management
- Follow all written and verbal instructions
- Attend safety and production trainings as required
- Immediately report any food safety or quality non-conformances to the TL or PIL
- Ensure production paperwork is completed correctly and in a timely manner
- Adhere to our clients Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and personal hygiene practices

**OTHER FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
- Contribute to a positive and productive work environment
- Other duties as directed by the TL or PIL

**INHERENT REQUIREMENTS**
- Familiarity with machine touchscreen control panels
- Ability to read and follow recipes and manufacturing instructions
- Reasonable physical condition including ability to lift 25 kgs; kneel, bend and squat; stand for long periods; walk around work site; climb stairs
- Compliance with Food Safety and OH&S procedures and policies

**Job Types**: Full-time, Casual

**Salary**: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
