We are representing one of the premium life insurance brands in Australia.

A vacancy exists for a Reinsurance Operations Manager. The team is focused on continuing to implement robust processes and procedures around the way they manage reinsurance arrangements. This role is a key contributor in leading interactions and initiatives with reinsurance partners.

Given this role brings you in contact with a range of departments internally, there is scope for progression across a number of areas within the business. Interacting with a range of businesses (primarily Reinsurers) externally gives you the option to build and develop a network, opening up the door to options across the wider reinsurance market.

The role will be responsible for the following:

- Contributing to the reinsurance strategy around simplification. Driving change and efficiency in regards to reinsurance and the way the organisation engages with Reinsurers.
- Managing and developing your team.
- High visibility in that you will be engaging with a variety of senior stakeholders internally around reinsurance performance.
- SME in relation to all things reinsurance.

Previous experience working in Reinsurance, specifically managing a team and an operational function is most ideal. Individuals who have lead operational teams within Life Insurance are also encouraged to apply.

We are also open to individuals who have worked in an accounting and/ or actuarial role within life insurance, and who are keen to utilise/ diversify their skills in an operational capacity.
