**Job Description**:
Forbes Marketplace is looking for an Australian-based Deputy Editor with a strong knowledge of Australian personal
finance to work alongside the Australian Lead Editor and SEO Manager. As Deputy Editor, you will play a key role in
contributing to the growth of the Australian site through your personal finance expertise and writing skills. This is a newly
created role that the deputy editor can truly make their own, while being supported by a highly experienced global team of
journalists, writers and SEO specialists.

**Responsibilities**:

- Reporting to the Lead Editor, you will write topical personal finance stories based on a quarterly content plan, as devised by the Australian editor and the SEO team.
- Pitch and write original financial news stories for the site, whether it be pieces on RBA rate rises or explainers on superannuation.
- Work with contributors where needed to advise on stories and briefs.
- Work with the SEO and data teams to write explanatory content, how-tos, roundups, best-ofs and product reviews.
- Syndicate content from overseas Forbes sites and adapt stories so they’re applicable to an Australian audience.
- Work collaboratively with the global editorial team, helping create best practices worldwide.
- Work alongside Forbes Advisors’ compliance team to ensure adherence with ASIC financial advice regulations.

**Requirements**:

- At least 5 years of experience in digital media, preferably with a background in journalism.
- Good understanding of Australian personal finance and an interest in consumer journalism.
- Solid understanding of the key financial pillars of superannuation, insurance (travel, car, home, life), mortgages, credit cards, and utilities.
- Experience with SEO best practice or a willingness to learn.
- A self-starter who is organized and works well with mínimal supervision.
- Nimble and open to quick changes in strategy.
- Experience in a digital news environment is highly valued.
