- The Australian Financial Review_ has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Digital Editor to join the digital team.
You will also be required to help the digital editor with staffing, and work with different areas of the business including product, audience and visual teams.
Day to day you will:
- Run the home page
- Plan homepage editions with section editors
- Prepare each edition
- Post on social channels
- Share SEO best practices
- Curate and send newsletters
- Write breaking news blog posts and manage the daily live blog
**Qualifications**
What we would like to see:
- Excellent news judgement
- Ability to work with editors and journalists to best distribute content
- The ability to make editorial decisions quickly
- A passion for breaking news, especially in business, finance and politics
- Attend and contribute to news conferences
- A passion for digital production
- Ability to understand real-time data to maximise audiences at key traffic times
