The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Redress Case Manager to provide a critical role within Redress Design, Police and Community Safety.

**About the business unit**

Redress Design is responsible for developing and implementing redress schemes that acknowledge past harm, provide a range of support options for individuals who have experienced harm, and operate independently from the organisation responsible for causing the harm. It provides high-quality strategic policy advice, makes recommendations to government for new scheme design and operational models, and is responsible for administration and delivery of frontline services.

**About the role**

Working in the new Fiskville Redress Scheme, some of your duties will include:

- Effectively manage a caseload of participants who have experienced trauma, mental health and/or ill health concerns and provide end-to-end support, within defined timelines.
- Uses insight to establish professional relationships with participants to maintain appropriate boundaries, including recognising and mitigating personal feelings and prejudices.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Effectively manage a caseload of participants who have experienced trauma, mental health and/or ill health concerns and provide end-to-end support, within defined timelines.
- Uses insight to establish professional relationships with participants to maintain appropriate boundaries, including recognising and mitigating personal feelings and prejudices.

**Qualifications**
- A qualification and relevant experience in counselling, social work, psychology, and/or nursing
- Experience in victim support and/or case management is essential
- Experience in the health sector in fields such as oncology and palliative care would be an advantage (Fiskville Redress) or working with victims of crime, abuse and/or sexual violence (Police Redress).
