Finance Assistant

The **Finance Assistant **will play an integral part in the corporate finance team working to support a key client account with financial and administrative assistance. Reporting to the **Management Accountant **and using a flexible and adaptable approach the responsibilities include:
- Managing the Accounts Payable and Purchase Order process
- Assist in ensuring contract parameters are adhered to
- Co-ordination and finance assistance to the Management Accountant
- Providing finance, procurement, and general administration support for the Account
- Working closely with the Management Accountant to ensure all financial reporting is accurate and timely
- Co-ordination and management of the internal team to ensure meetings are scheduled and deadlines are met
- Providing sundry support for Account
- Full compliance and consistency with the contract and BGIS business systems
- WHSE policies and procedures are met and maintained by all stakeholders
- Provide support as required with finance and related matters and other ad hoc duties
**Skills and Experience**
- Previous Accounts Payable experience
- Ability to work autonomously
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask
- Attention to detail a must
- Ability to think analytically to solve problems
- Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Teamwork, Quality, Customer orientation, Initiative, Flexibility, Judgement & Decision Making
- Microsoft Office Application Skills proficiency in Excel a priority
- Basic financial or accounting knowledge
