**The Company**

Our client is a clear leader within their space, and synonymous with their product portfolio. This role will lead the safety strategy and implementation across one of their more complex business units, consisting of 3 sites across NSW & QLD with over 400 employees. The business is invested in a safety first approach and as such, have well resourced infrastructure to support this role in embedding best practice safety across their operations.

**The Role**

This role is developing, leading and driving the Safety agenda across the business to make sustainable change at all levels. Reporting to the Operations Director, your key responsibilities will include;
- Develop and build on the current safety strategy and framework and then design and roll out the Safety systems and processes at all levels
- Manage the Safety Management System and identify areas for improvement by accurate reporting of safety measurements in order to track, record and monitor OH&S trends, increasing transparency across sites
- Build robust relationships with key stakeholders from the Operations Director to Operator to increase the perception of risk
- Provide leadership across the OH&S department to meet Safety standards and report on safety performance at monthly committee meetings.

**Your Background**

To be successful in this role, you will draw upon your experience in;
- A Diploma or Degree in a relevant area such as Safety
- A proven track history of leading Safety within a business
- Extensive experience around safety governance and compliance and management of a Safety management System
- A background working in preferably manufacturing but potentially engineering or construction
