**About the Role**

As Australia's fifth-largest iron ore producer, MinRes operates three key hubs in Western Australia: Yilgarn, Pilbara, and Ashburton. The business is also transitioning to lower-cost, long-life operations. Key to this transition is the Onslow Iron project, one of the country’s largest iron ore projects currently under development, which is forecast to ship around 35 million tonnes of ore per year.

Reporting to the Technical Director, and based at our state-of-the-art Osborne Park office, you will be responsible for coordinating the execution of Planning Services activities across all MinRes Iron operating projects.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Coordinating the execution interface between site teams and corporate hydrogeological and water engineering services. This involves integrating technical projects into site Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI), planning operations, managing contractors, and overseeing other execution functions.
- Defining systems and processes for validating planning and risk management work, as well as for escalating and rectifying non-conformances.
- Engaging key stakeholders to understand business-wide objectives and constraints, in order to develop tactical mine plans and navigate execution interfaces.
- Managing geotechnical services for operating sites and corporate functions, as well as overseeing data collection and integration for geotechnical and geological modelling.
- Developing cost management processes for both brownfield and greenfield geotechnical work, as well as for surface water infrastructure and digitisation projects.
- Designing and supporting skills development processes, whilst coaching and mentoring the team, as well as fostering succession planning.

**What you’ll bring to the team**

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

- A tertiary qualification in either geotechnical engineering, mining engineering, geology, hydrogeological or hydrological sciences, or a similar technical field.
- Previous leadership experience with the proven ability to build high-performing teams.
- Study and project management expertise across a range of disciplines (e.g., geotechnical engineering, hydrogeology, geology, mining engineering, and survey.
- Strong exposure to groundwater and surface water management and infrastructure.
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
