**About ARWA**:
The Australian Radioactive Waste Agency (ARWA) is leading the responsible management and safe storage and disposal of Australia’s radioactive waste. A key element of ARWA’s program is the delivery of the National Radioactive Waste Management Facility which will provide a purpose-built, engineered solution to manage radioactive waste from sources such as nuclear medicine production.

- An in-depth knowledge of and experience in complex commercial contract management.
- Sound decision making and judgement to provide expert procurement and contracting advice.
- Significant demonstrated the ability to influence, negotiate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to identify best fit organisational solutions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to prepare complex procurement and technical documents and communicate effectively to a range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated research, analytical and conceptual skills to optimise business outcomes and solve complex problems.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills that foster trust and cooperation, and a proven ability to work effectively and with integrity within a politically sensitive environment.
- An ability to work in a fluid environment, remaining flexible, agile and adaptable, supporting colleagues at short notice.
- A valid Australian driver’s licence
- Sound understanding of Commonwealth Government processes, Commonwealth Procurement Rules and other relevant procurement and contracting policies and processes.
**Qualifications**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance, Project Management, Asset Management, or related fields.
**Eligibility**:
To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, applicants must:
- Be an Australian citizen or going to be granted Australian Citizenship before commencement. You may be asked to provide evidence of this.
- Undertake a pre-employment security assessment and subsequent security clearance. All staff are required to have a minimum baseline security clearance however some roles will require a higher-level security clearance. If you are offered a role and do not have a current security clearance, we will work with you to arrange for this to be undertaken.
