What are we looking for?
We are now seeking an Operations Advisor to join our Brisbane Office on a full time basis.
Our Abuse Law team advance civil claims on behalf of our clients who have been abused as children in schools, juvenile detention facilities, and in other institutional settings.
In this role you will provide superior planning, management and delivery of our Abuse Law Operations function across Australia. The role is responsible for supporting our Head of Practice and leadership team in all operational aspects of the abuse law practice including:
- ensuring compliance with processes and procedures across the business unit;
- driving process improvements;
- delivery of financial targets and execution of strategic plans;
- coordination and management of Operations initiatives and related communications plans;
- diary and travel management for leadership team;
- development of agendas for meetings and strategy sessions;
- any other duty that arises that will positively impact on the business unit as a whole.
- proactively manage and build strong internal and external relationships, with a major focus on collaborative working while delivering excellent customer service;
- keep things simple while driving innovation, removing blockages and anticipate and adapt to changing market and business challenges;
- work with a continuous improvement and process efficiency approach, by driving consistency and exploring opportunities to remove duplication;
- manage escalations and liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication until issue is resolved, and processes updated accordingly;
- be required to travel interstate from time to time.
What will you bring?
To be successful in this position, you will need the following skills and attributes:
- Strong knowledge of personal injury claims process (in any jurisdiction)
- A positive outlook, strong problem solving skills and a “can do” attitude
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build rapport with all levels of staff as you partner with key relationships across the business to assist in the strategy and delivery of processes and procedures, some of which include: Finance, Project Teams and HR
- Strong organisation and development skills
- Strong technical abilities as you work across developing precedents and prepare reporting documents
- Ability to exercise judgement & resolve problems expeditiously & satisfactorily
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
