The Safety and Incident Management Service (SIMS) team plays a vital role in keeping Fiona Stanley Hospital safe by responding swiftly and professionally to safety, security, and emergency incidents.

Reporting to the SIMS Team Leader, you’ll be at the heart of our hospital community, where no two days are the same. You will:

- Provide a reassuring presence while supporting staff, patients, and visitors.
- Resolve conflicts and tough scenarios with empathy and confidence, using a calm and respectful approach.

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

- Strong experience with communicating effectively, adjusting your approach to suit different people and settings.
- Relevant experience in a similar role, ideally in a healthcare setting.
- Proven experience with handling conflict confidently and professionally, including responding to difficult or aggressive behaviour.
- A composed nature who can work in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and at times confronting environment.
- Experience with handheld Personal Digital Assistants (PDA’s) is desirable

The role requires a WA Security License, Certificate II in Security Operations, and WA Driver's License (C class) as well as a First Aid Certificate including CPR and a Working with Children card.
