SUMMARY OF POSITION

As a member of the Global Supply Chain Team, the Distribution Manager will head up the Australian distribution and be involved in projects in the Region of RAPAC. This role will ensure a continued growth of LBS’s customer experience through maintaining stability in the current distribution setup, establish an Australian distribution strategy and ensure of successful implementation and ongoing improvement to increase LBS’s customer experience.

He/sheThey will be working closely with the Dir. Global DistributionEuropean Distribution Director and key sales peoplesalespeople in the regions in order to ensure alignment for all distribution activities.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Task
Responsible for developing and executing a distribution strategy for their region, which will drive optimal customer service, reduce distribution cost and improve the working capital turns.
Developing a continuously enhanced customer experience.
Work closely with the local sales & business units to match the service level to the customer expectation
Work closely with the rest of the Global Supply Chain organization in order to secure that main KPI targets are achieved
Ensure all regulatory and compliance measures are met within local guide linesguidelines.
Deploy distribution best practices (based on the Danaher Business System) across the distribution network.
Leadership of direct reports as well as management of distribution in the region
Financial reporting - including monthly reporting of freight accruals & forecasting
Responsible for the site’s Known Consignor Program and it’s continued compliance

Delivery service (on time and warehouse fill rate)
Optimise the distribution cost (freight and running cost)

**POSITION QUALIFICATIONS**:

Proven track record within distribution or like

Use of lean methodology and techniques to improve productivity, reduce cost, improve delivery performance
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with various disciplines and levels within the organization
Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, establish targets, and develop implementation plans in support of business objectives

Education
Diploma or University qualification preferred
Master of Science, Master of Supply chain or/and MBA
