**About the role**

Reporting to the Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for contributing to the optimisation of our operations through data analysis. You will also be tasked with identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities within the fleet management domain, helping to drive informed decision-making and efficiency improvements.

This position sits within our MRT arm of the business
- we transport over 30 million tonnes per annum within our Iron Ore and Lithium operations and are proud to be moving towards a world first in autonomous road trains.
- Clean, validate and pre-process data to ensure its accuracy and reliability
- Perform in-depth analysis of large datasets related to fleet management, focusing on vehicle performance, fuel efficiency and operational efficiency
- Create visually compelling and informative data visualizations to communicate trends and insights related to fleet management.
- Work closely with operational teams to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction based on data analysis. Utilize statistical methods and machine learning techniques to identify trends, anomalies, and predictive patterns in fleet data.
- Utilise tools such as PowerBI to present data in a format accessible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop and implement predictive models for maintenance forecasting, fuel consumption, and other relevant metrics.
- Work closely with fleet management teams and operational teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate on the integration of data trend analyses into existing fleet management protocols and decision-making processes.

**What you’ll bring to the team**
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data analysis and trend identification, preferably within the context of fleet management.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
