Return to Work Coordinator

**Your new company**

Your new company is part of local NSW Government looking for a return to work coordinator to assist their team for an assignment of approximately 12 weeks to cover team leave.

**Your new role**

In your new role you will be responsible for:

- Develop, implement, and monitor Recovery at Work plans to facilitate early and safe recovery and return to work for injured employees, in consideration of business operations.
- Provide early intervention injury management services to facilitate staff remaining at work or returning to work, inclusive of workplace assessments, task analysis, ergonomic assessments, case conferences, return to work meetings.
- Case manage a diverse portfolio of physical injury claims in line with legislative and self-insurance requirements to ensure early, safe and durable return to work.
- Identify options to reduce work demands and provide advice about modifying work, providing equipment or workplace modifications.
- Liaise with treatment providers to achieve safe and durable return to work outcomes

**What you'll need to succeed**

In order to succeed, you will ideally:

- Tertiary qualifications and accreditation/registration in one of the following allied health fields Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or Exercise Physiology. - 2 years minimum experience in workplace rehabilitation and return to work management in a worker’s compensation environment.
- Current Return to Work Coordinator certificate or willingness to obtain one.
- Knowledge of Work Health & Safety and Workers Compensation legislation.
- Highly effective interpersonal communication and negotiation skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels, in an appropriate, timely and professional manner.
- The ability to analyse trends, identify opportunities for improvement and recommend appropriate solutions.
