**THE OPPORTUNITY**
This role will be working in a small team that remotely employs and co-ordinates the movements of staff around Australia. As the Accounts/Payroll Officer you will be responsible for but not limited to:

- Prepare weekly Payroll for a small team that is rapidly growing.
- Complying with relevant awards and legislation.
- Preparation and payment of all State and Federal tax obligations including PAYG tax, Payroll tax, Superannuation Guarantee contributions.
- Processing new employee's contracts and terminations (from a payroll perspective).
- Preparation and timely delivery of pay slips and annual payment summaries.
- Managing Superannuation Choice funds for employees.
- Managing leave entitlements and payments.
- Liaise with ATO on any issues.
- Prepare and interpret financial summaries and provide reports to managers on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
- Verify and post details about business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and total accounts to ledgers and databases.
- All aspects accounts payable and receivable.

**ABOUT YOU**
You will be a highly organised individual who thrives on delivering to deadlines, whilst maintaining a high standard of service and attention to detail. In addition to:

- 2 + years in payroll with accounts exposure.
- Proven ability to work in a small team and autonomously when required.
- Experience and aptitude in using Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Demonstrated ability to follow processes, policies & legislation.
- Strong organisational skills, the ability to multitask & be adaptable.
- Proficient in Xero or other accounting software.
