**YMCA Cannon Hill Community Centre **is recruiting a **Program Facilitator **on a **Casual** **basis** to join our team located in **Cannon Hill, QLD.**

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The **Program Facilitator**’s responsibilities are twofold; firstly, it is to assist the coordinator to design and implement (including volunteer recruitment) existing and new wellbeing programs, and secondly, to oversee the operation of the programs, including managing volunteer mentors who will support young people, to achieve the aforementioned outcomes. By doing so, he or she will assist the YMCA to achieve it’s mission-driven objectives of empowering young people and strengthening communities.

Duties include (but are not limited to)**:

- Program Development and Implementation that positively changes the behaviour, attitude, and emotional and social conditions for participating young people, including best practice and efficiency
- Assisting with the recruitment, induction, training, on-boarding and general leadership to all volunteers and future employed staff
- Assisting the Wellbeing Group Program Coordinator to implement an outcomes framework to measure the social impact of the program
- Create opportunities for young people to gain community and work experience and develop important networks within the local area
- Actively fostering relationships with other community partners, government agencies and private enterprise

**ABOUT YOU**

They will also reflect the following selection criteria:

- Possess or studying undergraduate tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work and human services and/ or a science discipline.
- Experience managing volunteers including recruitment, induction, training, on-boarding and leadership within a dynamic work environment.
- Experience working with at-risk young people who present mental health symptomology, learning difficulties and/ or behaviours of concern.
- Successful program leadership and experience;
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to use those to influence the social agenda;
- A general understanding of program evaluation and research methods;
