As a Regulatory Analyst, you'll join the **Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) division**, supporting regulatory operations during a period of high demand and strategic change. **About the Opportunity**
As a Regulatory Analyst, you'll join the **Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) division**, supporting regulatory operations during a period of high demand and strategic change. You'll contribute to the program's transition to a new Salesforce-based IT platform, assess regulatory submissions, and engage directly with stakeholders to ensure integrity and compliance across the program.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position through to **end of June 2025**, with hybrid work arrangements and a Melbourne CBD office base.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assess certificate creation submissions in line with program guidelines, legislation, and standards.
- Conduct analysis and investigations to resolve complex regulatory issues.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of compliance processes and reporting.
- Respond to stakeholder queries and assist in the use of the new Salesforce platform.
- Prepare clear, concise reports, bulletins, and briefings.
- Collaborate across teams on cross-functional projects and support stakeholder consultation processes.
- Monitor emerging risks and trends using data-driven insights.
- Assist in onboarding and providing guidance to other analysts.
**About You**
We're looking for someone with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, excellent communication skills, and an interest in energy efficiency or public sector regulation. You will also bring:
- Proven experience working in a regulatory, compliance, or analytical environment.
- High attention to detail and the ability to interpret legislation and technical documentation.
- Confidence in stakeholder engagement and written communication.
- Competence using digital tools and systems (experience with Salesforce is advantageous).
- A collaborative mindset and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
**Desirable**: Tertiary qualifications in energy, sustainability, law, business, or related fields, and/or experience in energy efficiency programs or similar initiatives.
