The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Health Information Lead to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide expert advice to Information and Data Manager (IDM) management on key classification, documentation and care type issues that impact on Activity Based Funding
- Operate as the key contact for clinical areas and senior management for documentation management and legislative requirements for Health Improvement Management (HIM)
- Lead in the development and implementation of tools, materials and procedures to improve clinical documentation for coding and reporting purposes
- Managing conflicting priorities and liaising with broad range of stakeholders in the delivery of HIM services

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- Qualification in Health Information Management
- While not mandatory, familiarity in using relevant software including ieMR, HBCIS, The Viewer, 3M CodeFinder, Patient Flow Manager, Office 365 and other relevant software as required.
- Evidence of vaccination and remain vaccinated against -COVID 19
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $112 526 - $121 357 per annum
