The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Health Information Lead to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide expert advice to Information and Data Management on key classification, clinical documentation and care type issues
- Operate as the key contact for clinical areas and senior management for documentation management and legislative requirements for Health Information Management
- Provide data management and reporting services relating to clinical audit, research and ABF within the clinical streams
- Build the capacity and self-sustaining capability of our staff through the design, development and facilitation of education sessions
About you
**To be successful in this position you will require**:
- A qualification in Health Information Management
- While not mandatory, demonstrated ability to use or quickly acquire the skills to use relevant software including integrated electronic medical record (ieMR), Hospital Based Corporate Information System (HBCIS), The Viewer, 3M CodeFinder, Patient Flow Manager, Office 365 and other relevant software is highly desirable
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $117 026 - $126 212 per annum
