Private Equity - Analyst, Sydney
**Responsibilities**:
- Analyze financial data and developments in financial markets important to the business at Blackstone.
- Act as point person for transactions: work with senior management and coordinating external adviser and consultant responsibilities.
- Conduct research of targeted industries for investment purposes.
- Perform valuation analyses of prospective investment opportunities under consideration, including the assessment of financial risks.
- Compare a company's financial data with other companies of the same industry, size and location to forecast industry trends.
- Design and develop quantitative models to assess the economic performance of targeted companies.
- Prepare written analyses and evaluations of investment opportunities for use by Blackstone management and review by clients.
- Oversee the execution of transactions.
- Participate in both internal and external client meetings, negotiation of contracts and other agreements, and due diligence sessions.
- Oversee current portfolio companies and analyze potential exit opportunities.
**Qualifications**:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven working group, are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.
- 1-3 years of investment banking, Private Equity, or management consulting experience, and have prior experience in leading due diligence work streams
- Experience with analysis and execution of all deal types within Private Equity arena
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in fluent/native English
- Strong financial modeling and analysis skills, preferably with prior independent experience handling complex financial models
- Has the ability to present and liaise with clients at all levels and managing existing relationships
- High potential leadership skills and also team players who are comfortable working in a smaller office environment
- Flexible and takes initiative
- High level of professionalism and integrity

- Supervising or training securities licensed employees;
- Structuring or creating Blackstone funds/products; and
- Advising on marketing plans prepared by a sales team or developing and/or contributing information for marketing materials.
