As a Natural Hazard & Reinsurance Modelling Advisor, you’ll contribute to the financial strength of Suncorp by delivering high-quality modelling and insights across natural perils and reinsurance. You’ll work within the Capital & Investments team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support budgeting, reinsurance program design and allocation. This role offers opportunities for career progression and exposure to a broad range of technical and strategic initiatives.

**What You’ll Do**
- Design, maintain, and enhance modelling processes for natural hazard budgeting, reinsurance program optimisation and allocation
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely preparation of data used in natural hazard and reinsurance modelling
- Deliver technical modelling outputs and insights to stakeholders within agreed timeframes and quality standards
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve, automate, and simplify modelling and analytical workflows
- Collaborate with external consultants and reinsurance brokers to validate data and modelling results
- Build strong relationships with internal teams to ensure modelling advice aligns with evolving business needs

**What You’ll Bring**
- 5+ years experience in financial services, ideally with exposure to general insurance
- Strong analytical and statistical skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel, VBA, SQL, and SAS; Python experience desirable
- Excellent communication and business writing skills
- Ability to manage small to medium projects independently
- Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or Mathematics
- Near-completion or recently qualified Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries Australia (or equivalent) desired
