**About the Role**
This is a ‘hands on’ role that provides a critical service in uplifting mandated ways of working, decision making, and accountability that improves the delivery journey and drives appropriate governance of initiatives within the Transformation Office with focus on value and outcomes for those we serve.

**Duties**
It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same: as **Portfolio Governance & Assurance Specialist** within the EPMO you will:
**Review and Assure**
- Conduct internal quality assurance reviews, to ensure adherence to delivery frameworks, policies, processes, and minimum standards, and support effective communication of outcomes and actions for improvement.
- Manage interactions with Department of Customer Service and other departments as required in relation to the assurance of the transformation portfolio.
- Support program / project health checks, deep dives, external assurance, controls testing, and audit / review actions, to ensure projects are on track and delivery desired outcomes.
- Support an integrated view of internal and external assurance recommendations, post implementation reviews, and lessons learned, enabling holistic insight into opportunities to improve.
**Framework Design and Uplift**
- Facilitate the design, implementation, and embedment of right-sized governance and assurance frameworks, standards, and processes that support value realisation and ensure consistency and compliance enabling decision making and project delivery to minimise risk.
**Coach and Set Up**
- On-board and coach icare’s projects and partners on the frameworks and ways of working to drive efficiency, quality, consistent standards, and focus on what matters.
- Provide project guidance and knowledge to the project community and broader icare stakeholders, promoting a culture of collaboration, growth, and achievement.
- Support project set up of governance structures, defining decision making processes, and ensuring accountability.
**Your story so far**:
- Well-developed project management skills & Quality assurance or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through practical experience, with an advance understanding of project management techniques and methodologies.
- Highly developed collaborative and partnering approach to stakeholder management.
- A range of experience in portfolio, program, project management governance and assurance i.e. minimum 5 years.
- Experience in project tools such as PPM, MS Project, JIRA, Power BI.
- Advanced Office 365 experience and skills.
