**About the Role**

The Portfolio Management Office Unit has been established to lead portfolio management, manage the college-wide project management framework, lead project management capability development, improve project and portfolio governance & management maturity and provide portfolio level executive reporting on the progress of the College portfolio.

The primary function of the Portfolio Lead is to support the development and ongoing management of an optimised portfolio, driving the College towards achieving its strategic objectives. This includes continuous improvement, advice and guidance, monitoring and quality control and compliance activities, portfolio analysis and reporting, as well as advocacy and education for sponsors, stakeholders and project teams.
- This role is a fixed-term contract, ending in May 2026._

**Key Accountabilities**
- Undertake portfolio tracking and analytics on portfolio performance to provide insight for the business
- Coordinate the portfolio, programs and projects across the College to ensure delivery against strategic and operational priorities and balance use of resources
- Lead the preparation and delivery of portfolio reporting to the PGG, Finance and Risk Management Committee and College Board and other relevant forums
- Facilitate Portfolio Governance Group meetings
- Manage stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and escalation management
- Maintain the College dependency register, benefits register and portfolio risk register and ensure effective communication across the College
- Develop and maintain the portfolio resource management approach to ensure teams have adequate resourcing for efficiently delivery of their projects
- Maintain the benefits management process and provide regular reporting on portfolio benefits realisation

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
**Essential Attributes**
- 5+ years’ experience working as a key member of a project team.
- Experience working in, or closely with, a project or portfolio management office
- Ability to critically analyse issues and problems and propose innovative and fit for purpose solutions
- Demonstrated experience in project management and an understanding of project management methodologies.
- Experience in delivering training and presentations.
- Ability to manage or templates, tools, and processes.
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently follow-through on tasks.
- Ability to work independently to problem solve towards solutions and take initiative.
