The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA), established in June 2017, is a key branch within the Department of Health and Infrastructure Division. The Authority is recognised as the State's deliverer of health capital projects and is responsible for driving the activities that enable effective delivery of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar investment in Victoria's health, mental health and aged care infrastructure program. This includes over $15 billion in managed assets and accountability for the planning and delivery of $9.21 billion in assets.
The Principal External Reporting officer is a key member of the PMO & Governance team for supporting the critical need and process of all external reporting requirements at VHBA. It's expected that this role will successfully manage the external communications and expectations including of the Ministers office, central agencies, Dep Secretory office, VHBA Board through projects status update and other reporting as required.
This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and units in gathering, validating, and presenting the information for our monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to various key stakeholders. This individual must be a dedicated self-starter, have a fanatical attention to detail, possess strong analytical skills, have strong written communications skills, and be a capable individual who can work in a challenging and fast-paced capital project delivery setting.
Are you?
- Someone who possess robust and astute skill in evaluating project performance and disclose them to senior stakeholders in an infrastructure project delivery setting.
- Able to develop methods and artefacts for the visualisation of key analytics and performance insights
- Someone with excellent attention to detail and able to build stakeholder confidence
- Experienced in managing and consolidating large data sets to develop insightful and flexible presentation options

Accountabilities
- Provide leadership, guidance and authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare and present detailed, comprehensive reports.
- Provide thought leadership for innovation in executive reporting methods, ensuring information and insights are consumable and support informed decision making.
- Lead the collaboration with VHBA Finance, Delivery and Asset teams to develop efficient and dynamic ways to produce and validate both standardised and ad hoc reporting and data visualisation
- Develop methods for the visualisation of key analytics and insights.
- Develop effective ways of data capture, management and reporting for key budget and risk performance management.
- Advise on opportunities for continuous improvement in data management, automation and presentation.
- Pro-actively build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
