**Position Overview**
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Inventory & Purchasing Officer to join our Darra team. You will manage procurement, inventory control, and supply chain coordination to ensure the smooth flow of goods from ordering to dispatch. Key responsibilities include raising purchase orders, liaising with suppliers, receiving and inspecting goods, maintaining accurate stock levels, coordinating logistics, and ensuring timely order fulfilment. **Position Duties**
**Procurement and Purchasing**
- Raise and manage purchase orders (POs) for stock, materials, and consumables.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to confirm product availability, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Track and expedite outstanding orders to meet operational requirements.
- Ensure purchasing activities align with company budgets and stock needs.
**Receiving and Inspecting Goods**
- Accurately receive and check incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery dockets.
- Inspect goods for damage, discrepancies, or quality issues and report findings.
- Coordinate with suppliers on any delivery issues or shortfalls.
**Inventory Management and Control**
- Maintain accurate stock levels using inventory management systems.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full stocktakes to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Implement best practices for stock rotation, minimising waste and obsolescence.
**Supply Chain Coordination**
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast stock requirements.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Assist with resolving supply chain disruptions or delays.
**Order Fulfilment and Dispatch**
- Accurately pick, pack, and dispatch customer and internal orders on time.
- Prepare goods for transport, including appropriate labelling and documentation.
- Coordinate with freight providers to arrange timely deliveries.
**Storeroom and Workplace Organisation**
- Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant work environment in line with WHS standards.
- Optimise storeroom layout and storage systems for efficiency and safety.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and security of inventory and materials.
**About You**
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite & general computer knowledge.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
