Rosebery is an underground polymetallic base metal mine located in the township of Rosebery in Tasmania, Australia. The mine is a deep, sub-level open stoping operation with complex mining conditions.

The Rosebery Mine has been at the heart of the Rosebery community since 1936 and is one of Tasmania’s largest and oldest continuously operating, underground mines producing zinc, copper and lead concentrates, as well as gold doré.

It supports approximately 500 employees and their families, has a strong community focus and engages a wide range of local businesses from across Tasmania in its supply chain boosting the economy of the West Coast of Tasmania and beyond.

The mine has a strong future, with extensive exploration activities which have continued to grow the resource and require mine planning beyond 10 years of continued operation.

MMG Rosebery has an office in Burnie (Tasmania), giving employees the flexibility to work from there when they are not required onsite.

**Electrical Maintenance Tradesperson**

Fantastic career opportunity available for an experienced** Electrical Maintenance Tradesperson** to join our team at Rosebery in Tasmania.

Reporting to the Underground Electrical Supervisor, this role is responsible to ensure maintenance tasks and activities are carried out in accordance with planned maintenance schedules and undertake production activities as required.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with statutory, regulatory, and company standards and procedures
- Electrically commission and performance test equipment before signing off to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Install and maintain HV/LV electrical infrastructure and equipment in the underground plant both fixed and mobile
- Installation, maintenance, fault finding, and repairs of underground leaky feeder and network systems
- Complete assigned work and associated paperwork ensuring compliance to the mine maintenance schedule
- Conduct breakdown and PM checks as required
- Installation, maintenance, fault finding, and repairs of VLF PED Firing System
- Supervise the work of electrical contractors when engaged to carry out work on-site
- Direct and mentor trades assistants and apprentices where required
- Be proactive in identifying and reporting potential hazards and eliminating risk-taking behaviors or actions
- Use of computerised maintenance management systems (SAP)

- Electrician’s Licence.
- Drivers licence.
- Minimum of 3 years post Trade qualification experience in a mining environment or in a heavy industrial environment
- Electrical Instrumentation Qualification (desirable)
- Understanding of electrical maintenance systems and activities
- Underground Mining experience (highly desirable)
- Experience using SAP (desirable)
- Ability to maintain, diagnose faults and repair equipment to OEM specifications
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications with a solutions focused approach
- Able to work in a team environment with a positive work ethic, self motivated with good time management skills
- Proven history of working in a culture of safe work and driving best practice
