Working in partnership with the Markets & Securities Services Chief Operating Officer, business heads and senior business leadership team, your focus will be to deliver against the MSS COO office’s responsibilities spanning Non-Financial Risk, Governance, Strategy Execution, Financial Resource Planning/Cost Management, Business Administration, Transformation, People Agenda and Third-Party Risk.

Taking on this role with a broad focus, you will use your ability to build strong relationships across a range of functions and business units, having the opportunity to interact with and influence senior leaders in the organisation. This is a high-profile position and will provide significant exposure to the Australia /New Zealand MSS business heads, regional MSS COO office and senior leaders within the Australia / New Zealand support functions.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Ensuring there is a focus on strategic delivery of MSS COO activity in line with the business’ local, regional and global strategy.
- Driving and facilitating the effective management of Non-Financial Risk within the business.
- Identifying, driving and delivering initiatives alongside the MSS business heads aligned with strategy.
- Supporting the MSS COO and business heads with FRP/Cost management activity.
- Ensuring appropriate direct and indirect items are allocated for MSS cost allocation.
- Contributing to an open, trusted and empowered team work ethic, being delivery focused in a flexible and balanced environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- A strategic thinking style with strong commercial awareness, analytical and interpretation skills to enhance standards, policies and controls.
- Broad knowledge of the external environment (regulatory, political, competitors).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to negotiate and work effectively with senior business leaders across business lines and geographies.
- Strong problem solving and prioritisation skills, able to perform under pressure with a keen eye for detail.
- A strong team focus with a proactive and self-motivated attitude and ability to think and act independently, willing to roll-up the sleeves to get things done.
- Knowledge and experience of Markets and/or Securities Services industry an advantage.
