GVC are providing recruitment services to the wonderful Lort Smith Animal Hospital (North Melbourne.) Lort Smith is an iconic Melbourne institution providing exceptional veterinary services for all pet carers. They provide expert animal healthcare and wellbeing services through high-quality vet care and state-of-the-art facilities.
Lort Smith has engaged GVC to source a (non-clinical) **_Customer Services Manager_** To lead a customer services team ensuring the ongoing provision of quality care to clients and their animals.
This is a full-time position, working Tuesday to Saturday 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm. There is also some flexibility in the roster.
Some of the Key duties & Responsibilities are:
**Customer Service**
- Deliver exceptional customer service to a culturally diverse community.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the customer service department.
**Staffing**
- Enable the customer service team to provide an excellent customer-centric experience by holding the team accountable and removing roadblocks.
- Accomplish staff objectives by recruiting, selecting, training and coaching employees.
**Finance**
- Manage and perform daily banking process including reconciliation and actioning of any discrepancies should they arise.
- Assist clients to find alternative payment avenues or other options if required.
**Policy, Processes & Procedures**
- Establish, maintain, and follow all processes, procedures, and policies applicable to your employment and role.
- Ensure that appointments/triaging/initial assessments of calls are properly booked.
**About you: Skills/Experience/Attributes**
- 4 + years’ experience within the animal industry leading a customer service team (or other relevant industry.)
- Proven leadership experience in a veterinary hospital or similar healthcare setting.
- Strong problem solving, decision making and communication skills.
- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to connect and build meaningful relationships with clients, staff, and stakeholders.
**_ Salary range for this position approx. $85,000-$95,000 p/a + Super + benefits_**
