Job Overview

Three Blue Duck's, located on 'The Farm' in Byron Bay is looking for a switched on, driven, hardworking events coordinator to support the functions, weddings and events in our venue. We want somebody who is excited about the Ducks and can bring their skills and experience to our group whilst learning from some of the best. The events coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day events, corporate book-outs and weddings. They must ensure the service standards are high and work with the Front of House managers to ensure all employees are trained and briefed accordingly. They will inspire and motivate the service team and ensure every customer leaves with a smile on their face. They will be responsible for the events from conception through to execution, ensuring they are suitably organised, the team are working in unison and rostered appropriately, ordering and expenses are in line with the customers requirements. Three Blue Ducks at The Farm Byron Bay is set on an 80-acre farm and Macadamia Orchard with views of both the hinterland and Byron’s iconic lighthouse. **Qualifications & experience**
- Previous experience in an event coordination and/or hospitality role.
- Experience in leading a team in high pressure environments.

**What you will bring to the role**
- A true interest in creating beautiful experiences for our customers in line with out ethical and relaxed ethos.
- A strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine and spirits
- Amazing communication skills with our customers and internal staff
- Ability to manage an event budget and coordinate logistics
- Ensuring everything is running smoothly on the day (set up, food, beverage, suppliers, equipment etc).
- Confidence to take charge and own the result, yet humble enough to listen and learn
- Honest and results focused - able to give and receive genuine feedback and take action as needed
- Innovation - proven experience of genuinely implementing new ideas
