The Administration Officer role is a frontline position and is the first point of contact for consumers of the Mental Health Service, their families and carer and all external and internal stakeholders accessing the service. This position provides customer service excellence while upholding patient confidentiality and utilising discretion.
**Key Responsibilities include**:
- Exercise judgement when necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined.
- Effectively communicate with customers and demonstrate understanding, empathy, patience and a positive service focus.
- Provide high quality confidential administration support to the team, including, but not limited to, the use of MHSS-specific software, data reporting, clinic preparation, referral management, consumer appointment scheduling, assist with Medicare claiming and fleet car management.
