Demand Forecast Analyst

**The Opportunity**
Nestlé operate one of the largest supply chain networks in the Oceania region. Our teams leverage the best if bread forecast capabilities of SAS analytics combined with SAP APO.
An opportunity exists for a Demand Forecast Analyst to join our busy Demand Forecast team. You will play a critical role in leveraging market trend and causal factors to generate high quality forecasts. Ensuring our supply chain is able to deliver the right product into our customer locations at the right time.
**A day in the life**
Reporting to our Demand Manager, You will manage forecast models across multiple categories, continually refining based on qualitative inputs from business partners and quantitative derived from trend and causal data. Working in a close knit team you will have the opportunity to collaborate with highly capable team members.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Generating forecasts for our retail customers across a large group of categories.
- Manage the flow of critical data in and out of the forecast system.
- Be a key player in upgrading and enhancing our process with the latest SAS VIYA
- Work closely with BU colleagues to leverage technology balancing with the need to be agile and customer centric.
- Identifying new ways of utilizing data & statistical methods to enhance demand forecast quality & accuracy to influences the business outcomes.
- Generating reporting & analysis to support business decision making.
- Communicating analysis & insights with cross-functional stakeholders.
**What will make you successful**
- University qualifications, ideally in Supply Chain, Data Science, Business Analytics, Supply Chain, or a similar discipline.
- A strong background in demand planning or similar planning discipline. Previous experience using SAS, SAP APO or similar forecasting package preferred.
- Excellent communication skills & the ability to present data analysis to a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong system or analytics focus in FMCG & Supply Chain will be highly regarded.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and have Permanent Residency.
