This is an exciting phase in our history and we are looking for experienced Requirements Manager to join us in Adelaide, as we embark on our next phase of growth.

The Role

The Requirements Manager is responsible for managing the work scope and outputs of requirements team within the Systems Engineering team in the Submarine Systems Engineering Directorate and establishes and maintains the Submarine Requirements Management Policy and its implementation within the DOORS Requirements Management database.

As a primary point of contact with the Navy Capability Development team the Requirements Manager ensures the integrity of the Function and Performance Specification requirements set as the requirements are decomposed and allocated to the various system elements of

the Mission and Support System.

The Requirements Manager will perform engineering tasks associated with Submarine Requirements for CCSM sustainment, CCSM LOTE, SEA1439 Phase 7, and NPS TF aligned with the respective program objectives.

Tasks and Duties

The Requirements Manager is responsible for the development of the Submarine Requirements Management Plan and ensuring that the requirements of the plan are implemented within submarine programs and that the principles are applied by the prime contractors delivering submarine capability.

Responsible for database management policy, including access controls, to ensure the

integrity of the DOORS Requirements Database.

Day to day point of contact with the Navy Capability team and is responsible for

the overall management and configuration control of the Function and Performance Specification (FPS) within the DOORS Requirements database.
Provide support to the Requirement Capability Owners and Technical Managers as the requirements evolve through the various phases of design/acquisition.
Provide regular metric reporting on the status of the requirements as they mature through ongoing development of the functional requirements to inform its proposed design solution.
Liaise with appropriate stakeholders to ensure an integrated approach to requirements development, systems definition and safety considerations.
Lead and manage a requirements team accountable for the task of delivering FPSs.

Key Success Factors for Excelling in the Position

The Requirements Manager must have extensive experience working on complex projects, and preferably experience during the early phases of a submarine design program.

Qualified through 4 year Bachelor of Engineering degree accredited with Engineers Australia.

This engineering position requires the individual to have obtained Engineers Australia Stage 1 competency standard for Professional Engineering recognition (or ability to obtain status as a Professional Engineering within three months).

A thorough understanding and experience of manipulating requirements databases, in particularly the DOORS Requirements Management tool, and the use of scripts as required facilitating reporting and displaying of requirements in support of the broader project objectives..
