**About Student and Scholarly Services**
Student and Scholarly Services provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation. This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff.
The Careers and Employability team and service support students to build, transfer and translate university learning, skills and other experiences into employability learning and work-related and opportunities.
**About the Role**
As the Coordinator, Industry Engagement, you will act as the team leader for the industry engagement function of the Careers & Employability service. You will develop and implement both new and existing content, activities and programs for students that connect them with employers, alumni and industry, and contribute positively to their work readiness and preparation for success as graduates.
Working with key stakeholders, particularly faculty enrichment and experiential learning colleagues internally, and graduate programs and recruitment professionals externally, will be a focus. You will act as an external liaison point for the University, enabling internal referral for curriculum and faculty-based opportunities and ensuring the service meets the needs of students and internal partners.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee the design, delivery and assessment of events and activities that support student employability and connection to industry
- Provide relevant specialist advice to employers, industry partners and alum on matters relating to the placement of students and recent graduates
- Lead the industry generation and connection plans for the service
- Lead, coach and develop a team of staff in a dynamic service environment to ensure program objectives are achieved
**About You**
You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders. You will have proven business development skills and the ability to generate talent opportunities.
You will also have strong leadership and problem-solving skills, including the ability to plan workloads, manage competing priorities in consultation with multiple stakeholders and to work as part of a leadership team to support the achievement of wider team objectives.
You will also have:
- A degree in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent combination of education/training and relevant experience in a field related to career development practice
- Demonstrated experience in effective and innovative careers, employability or student event delivery and facilitation, with the ability to manage and engage an audience across multiple modes of delivery, including group interaction, and online platforms
- To ensure the University continues to provide a safe environment for everyone, this position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check._
