Duties of the crane technician/mechanic will include carrying out maintenance and repairs of overhead cranes. They will need to be able to work well with other members of our team, assisting with various tasks and performing any other relevant duties as directed by the employer or superiors.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Maintain a high level of Technician/Client interaction
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Carry out crane and hoist servicing, repairs, breakdowns, call outs and fault finding, installation, commissioning and testing works.
- Disassembly of crane components for cleaning, inspection, fault finding, replacement or repair
- Fitting of new components/parts and testing of the same
- Check and inspect work performed by themselves
- Maintain tools and equipment in an efficient and safe operating condition
- Identify unsafe work processes, practices and conditions; assist the Client and Area Manager to resolve unsafe issues.
- Ensure that specified requirements for all work processes are met
- Follow safe work methods
- Carry out procedures to keep work areas clean, neat and tidy
- Report non-conformance in work and materials and opportunities for improvement, to the Area Manager.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Demonstrated understanding in assembling, modifying and repairing industrial equipment
- Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment
- Relevant Australian recognised Trade Certificate
- Current C-Class Drivers License (unrestricted)
- Prior field experience
- Previous mobile crane experience (preferred)
