
Rigger - Wireless Telecommunications

**About the role**
Reporting to the Area Construction Manager, the **Rigger** will ensure that all projects are constructed within allocated timeframes and budgeted hours. This position will be working with our experienced crew on major Installation and modifications of existing Co-Lo and Greenfield telecommunications sites for various carriers across major mobile and broadcast projects throughout NSW.
**What you’ll be doing**
- Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:_
- Provide supervision and direction to your team by coordinating the team including liaising with technicians
- Manage/Perform all allocated works including but not limited to work at heights with cranes, ewps, climbing and ground works, cable tray works, grouting, concrete, earthing, etc
- Manage onsite construction of the project by ensuring FIM, NON-FIM, steelwork and any other necessary items are available and complete to ensure a successful construction completion with mínimal time onsite
- Responsible for onsite works completed by Internal teams across multiple disciplines across civil, rigging and ICIO
- Ensure all safety documents including all required Permits completed in full, signed off by the relevant authorised person, and/or issued prior to works commencing
- Ensure all work is undertaken in a timely, cost-effective manner, meeting performance targets
- Interpret drawings and inform the crew, including technicians on work plan
- Provide practical working knowledge and guidance to the team
- Review designs and provide solutions of rigging techniques and estimate time onsite to your crews and to assist in issue of FPQ
- Ensure and manage all equipment testing and tagging, including contributing to register updates
- Report and document daily progress and issues to the Project Engineer/Field manager and Construction Manager
**About you**
- To be successful in this role you will ideally have:_
- Proven experience as a telecommunications Rigger
- A current Certificate in Rigging (Basic minimum)
- Experience with earthing requirements
- Working at heights and Perform Tower rescue certified with the ability to comfortably operate at heights regularly (i.e. climbing up to 80 metres). Previous climbing experience is essential
- Solid knowledge of telecommunication rigging techniques and best practice
- RadHaz EME Awareness
- MR or HR License preferred
- Must be flexible - Working away from home, including some weekends is essential
